Papertrey Ink September Release Countdown Day 4: Feathered Friends Mini 15

Hi there! It's Day 4 of the Papertrey Ink September release and I've got one last project for the September release! This one features the next in the Feathered Friends stamp series. Can I just say that this chubby little bird is one of the cutest. I paired him with a Winter Swirls background that I made using emboss resist.

The sentiment is from Just Sentiments: Snow and is stamped on a die cut from Banner Builders: Basics. I added a frame because I always makes my card feel finished. This frame is from the Border Bling: Skinny Diagonals Frame die set. The final touch are the shiny gems!

And just like that, it's release time! I don't know about you, but I'm so excited for release day tomorrow!

Papertrey Ink September Release Countdown Day 3: Farm Fresh, Weathered Wood, & Winter Swirls

Hello everyone! It's Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink September release and I'm so excited about my cards today! Today I'm sharing two fun sets that are so versatile and work with so many other sets with Winter Swirls and Weathered Wood. And the last one is my favorite from the release called Farm Fresh! Let's get started!

So the first set today is called Winter Swirls and I wanted to try something a bit different with it. Obviously, this set will make amazing snowy swirls, but I was thinking of coffee steam swirls! I used the fun mug from Festive Mugs and then added the swirls above. I love, love, love how the die cut swirls look!

The sentiment is from the Inside Greetings: Snow Stamp set and was stamped on a die cut using the Banner Builders: Basics. The final touches are the sequins and a smattering of stamped snowflakes.

This next card uses my favorite set from the release, Farm Fresh. I have a few other cards done with this set and I'll share those later this month. This set has a Christmas tree farm theme with a bunch of fun Christmas trees in buckets and a gorgeous sign stamp.

If you've been to my blog before, you may know how much I like to mix old and new stamps and use them in different ways. So with this stamp set, I used an older die called Paradise this Way to create a fun rustic sign you may see at a tree farm.

Farm Fresh has a wonderful variety of buckets and fir plants, and it's so much fun to mix and match. For the background, I used the Weathered Wood stamp. To get a more weathered look to it, I stamped it first with brown then stamped over the same image in gray. Then I blended both brown and gray over it. I used the same technique on the sign too. Love how it turned out!

For the background I used a bold red banner cut with the In Stitches: Banner Die. The sentiment from Scene Everywhere: Winter Stamp is stamped on a die cut from Love to Layer: Scalloped Circle Die. Trimming a circle die cut and offsetting it on your card is a great way to stretch your dies. I can't tell you how much I loved working with Farm Fresh!

I'll see you back tomorrow for the Day 4 of the release! Check out the Papertrey Ink blog for other samples from the amazing Design Team!

Papertrey Ink September Release Countdown Day 2: Feathered Friends 15, Border Bling: Snowflakes, & Inside Greetings: Snow

Hi guys! Welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink September release! Today I'm starting off with the Feathered Friends 15 dies. This little chubby bird is so cute! I put him over a simple shaker using the new Woodgrain stamp (more to come later!) and Skinny Postage Frames dies.

I love how the bird dies always have beautiful embossed details that look great when blended with ink. The background pine branches are from the Sprigs & Sprays: Holiday and the sentiment is from It's a Sign: Christmas Bough.

This next card uses Border Bling: Snowflakes die as a rainbow card. This die was just screaming for the rainbow treatment!

Because there was so much color around the frame, I thought I'd go with a simple white on white shaker that lets the sweet sentiment stand out. I added a vellum inner frame as a small extra detail that didn't make things too busy. The sentiment is from the Inside Greetings: Snow.

I'll see you back tomorrow for the Day 3 of the release!

Papertrey Ink September Release Countdown Day 1: Sprigs & Sprays: Holiday, Vase Collection 4, Into the Blooms: Poinsettias, & Just Sentiments: Snow

We've got a little bit of a late start, but I'm excited about Day 1 of the Papertrey Ink September release! There are so many fun goodies this month and I've been busily crafting away with all of them! Let's start off today with the new Into the Blooms: Poinsettias set and the Just Sentiments: Snow set!

The Into the Blooms: Poinsettias dies are a layering set and I used them with vellum. I wanted a wintery look to them, so I edged each flower with some coarse glitter.

I love how the flowers look sugared! I backed the flowers with a Pierced Feature Frame cut with Dark Indigo cardstock to really make them stand out.

If my first card was ice, the next card is fire! I used the Sprigs & Sprays: Holiday and Vase Collection 4 to create a fall card with hot pink and orange! I love the combo of Canyon Clay and Raspberry Fizz!

It was fun making a rustic card modern my switching up the colors and backing it with a bold polka dots (Bold Borders: Polka Dots Die). The sentiment is from the Say It Essentials set and fits perfectly on the Love to Layer: Scalloped Circle die cut.

There's lots more goodies in the release, so come back tomorrow for the Day 2 of the release!

Waffle Flower September 2021 Blog Hop

Welcome to Waffle Flower’s September 2021 Release Day! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! This month, we’re looking to the change in season with some fall favorites with a sprinkling of everyday goodies!

My first card today uses the Moon Bay Stencil Trio to make a clean and simple card. Before I stenciled this one, I taped off the edges. I love the white edges like a watercolor painting. I used Distress Oxides for this card for a softer look. The sentiment is from the Classic Sentiments set.

I used the same stencil set to create this lighter version and added some birds from the Lighthouse set. This sentiment is from the Tender Thoughts set.

These stencils are so fun to work with and so versatile! For this one, I left one section uninked so that I could stamp the sentiment. Don't be afraid to play around with colors and white space!

This next card uses the Nesting Oval Frames Die to create a channel for the enamel dots. The negative cut is just the right width for the largest size of the Waffle Flower enamel dots.

The sentiment is from the new Sentiment Additions 2 set. These sets look so good die cut!

My last card today uses one of the Nesting Hexagon Frames dies. I cut them in different colors and then put them together in an interlocking pattern. The key to this technique is to lay out the pattern with the die cut pieces and then cut the frames so that the cuts hide behind another frame.

Be sure to check out each stop in today’s blog hop for fun, inspiration, and chances to win some of these new release goodies! Next on the hop is the always amazing Laura Bassen!
