Waffle Flower July 2021 Release Blog Hop

Welcome everyone! I'm so excited today because it's Waffle Flower Christmas is July 2021 release blog hop! July is always reserved for the holidays at Waffle Flower and today we've got a huge release! I'm a super slow cardmaker, so I love getting the chance to start early on my card stash.

The first card I'm sharing today uses the new set by Liz Mytinger called Hamster Family. The hamsters are some of my favorite characters at Waffle Flower and I love that this set allows me to make personalized cards for the holidays!

I die cut little "photos" of my hamster family and arranged them in a tree shape. I love all that the set has lots of family members from babies to adults and tons of accessories! The sentiment is from the new set Cozy Holiday Sentiments.

This next card may be one of my favorites even though it was the simplest and easiest to make!  I took the Classic Snowflake Die and added mini pom poms! The sentiment is from the previously released Classic Holiday Sentiments heat embossed in white with a bit of hand drawn sticthing. That's it! Such a fun card to make!

This next card uses a die that I designed based on a card that I made last year. I love the design so much, I thought I'd design a die set that would allow me to make lots of the same card this year. The Slimline Christmas Die set is such a value because you get a slimline stitch panel, a single die that cuts a large triangle tree with the star (no more fussing with lining up your die cutting), and even a few extra trees and a label.

With this car, I used the largest die that cuts the triangle tree (with the stitching on the outside) and the star (with the stitched rays) at the same time. I backed the opening with a bit of a panel die that came out earlier this year, the Triple Line Diamond Panel. I love that you can back the opening with practically anything! I will be playing with this one lots and lots this year!

If you're wondering about the original card that inspired the die, I made a new version! This new version uses the Oversized Joy set as a sentiment, but is very similar to my original with the rainbow stripes using the Skinny Stripes die.

I have a whole stash of stripes already cut, so this one came together pretty quickly! I love how the Oversized Joy fits perfectly over the card.

And for my last card, I have a fun shaker card using the Classic Snowflake die! I recently got some little faux sprinkles and it was just what I needed to make this small shaker.

The sentiment is from the new Labelmaker Holiday set. Even during the holidays, it's still fun to bring in the rainbow colors!

That's it for me, but I know that the rest of the team and the guests have a TON more cards and they are amazing! The awesome Laura Bassen is next, but here's the whole list because you don't want to miss a thing!
