Papertrey Ink Release Countdown Day 4: Cover Plate: Apples

Happy weekend everyone! It's Day 4 of the Papertrey Ink release countdown and today I've got the new Cover Plate: Apples on the blog!

I used the Cover Plate: Apples to make a card that makes me think of so many memories of when my boys were little. For many years, we would go apple picking with the kids. We live outside of Washington, DC, in Virginia, but you can find lots of apple orchards within just an hours drive. Many of the orchards have pumpkin patches and cute general stores filled with produce and baked goods. Such good times!

So today I recreated a scene from those days by using elements from Cover Plate: Apples, Cover Plate: Maple Leaves, and the Pumpkin Party dies. I cut all my elements and went to work with my Copics. I cut the top off the crate die from the Pumpkin Patch set to hold my picked apples. I colored the maple leaf die cuts with Copics and added some veining detail with a thin brown marker. I also colored the pumpkin die cuts with Copics. The pumpkin dies have embossing lines that you can use as guides for coloring.

The sentiment is from the new Inside Greetings: Fall set and it was the perfect match! How cute are those mini apples?

Papertrey Ink Release Countdown Day 3: Pumpkin Party, To Die For Sentiments: Hey Boo, Scene Everywhere: Winter, & From Our Home to Yours

Hi everyone! I've got a couple more projects for Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink release countdown!  Today, I'm continuing the fall theme with a little of Christmas sprinkled in:)

My first card uses the new Pumpkin Party set. I have already made a bunch of cards with this set (more to come!). This set is so much fun with the outline pumpkin stamps and pattern stamps to decorate each pumpkin. I used the dies to create a silhouette pumpkin scene with the new To Die For Sentiments: Hey Boo word die. I think we all can agree that font on that word die is awesome!

This next card uses the Scene Everywhere: Winter and From Our Home to Yours sets to make a little mason jar snowglobe shaker! I'm obsessed with all the little houses in the From Our Home to Yours!  They coordinate perfectly with the scenery stamps and dies in the Scene Everywhere: Winter. I will definitely be making more holiday cards with these two!

Stop by the Papertrey Ink blog for more release info on these sets and to see more samples!

Papertrey Ink Release Countdown Day 2: Haunted House & Boo Black Cat

Today I've got more projects for Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink release countdown! This time, it's black cats and Halloween for me!

This first card uses the new Haunted House stamps and dies! With all the little details in this set, you can do so many things. Great for treat bags, shaped cards, favors, etc.! I decided to do a little scene card with a spooky cat peering out of the attic in the Haunted House. So much fun!

This next card uses the Cover Plate: Maple Leaves from yesterday's post with the new release Black Cat set. I love how you can easily make a bunch of fall leaves at one time with the Maple Leaves cover plate! I only needed to cut 2 batches of die cut leaves to cover this little Halloween kitty in a pile of leaves. Who says black cats have to be spooky?

Check out the Papertrey Ink blog for more release info on these sets as well as the Storybook Halloween and Cover Plate: Pumpkins

Papertrey Ink Release Countdown Day 1: Fall Bouquet & Cover Plate: Maple Leaf

Happy August everyone! I'm so excited because today I'm participating in my first release countdown with the Papertrey Ink Design Team! Such amazing folks over at Papertrey Ink and I don't have to tell you about all the amazing designs:) I have a couple of cards to share and I hope that you check out the Papertrey Ink blog for more!

This first card uses the new Fall Bouquet set. This one lets you create your own pumpkin and flower arrangement. So much fun and such beautiful images in this set!

This next card uses the Cover Plate: Maple Leaves. I know you're thinking, where's the cover plate panel? Heehee! If you've seen my cards before, you know that I love getting the most from my supplies. So instead, I used the cover plate to make lots and lots of fall leaves!  You'll see some more of those leaves later this week, but here's a clean and simple use for them. I love the color gradient!

Check back tomorrow for more from the release countdown!

Waffle Flower August 2021 Blog Hop

Hi guys! Hope you all are having a wonderful August! We hope you had fun with our Christmas in July release last month. This month's release is a bit smaller, but still filled with some goodies for everyone!

The first card I'm sharing today uses the new set by Liz Mytinger called Coffee Shop Hamsters. This set works perfectly with the new Storebuilder Die set to make little cafe scenes like this.

This month there's also some other coffee-themed goodies like the Nesting Coffee Cup Die set. I used this set to make some fun holiday tags. The tag on the left uses another new die from the Nesting Square Frame Die set. The block frames in this set are so versatile! Even for Santa's buckle! For my other tag, I used the new Poinsettia Blooms set to create a cup that reminds of a holiday Starbucks cup.

Last up today is a super simple card I made using the Nesting Rectangle Frames Die set. Instead of using it for the frame, I used the die to cut the negative. The resulting die cut gave me perfect negative space to fill with colorful pom poms.

I used the smallest pom poms in my stash for this one and it was so much fun! You may have seen another pom pom card from me last month, and I was so happy to pull them out again this month! Really, it's the most simple card, but those are the ones I love the most. The sentiment is from the new set Coffee Shop Talk.

That's it for me for the hop, but don't forget to check out our amazing guests and DT! The fantastic Laura Bassen is next, but here's the whole hop list!
