Avery Elle Stamp Highlight: What's Up?


Hi guys!  Chunyuan and I are back to share more February release projects from Avery Elle today!  I am working with one of the smaller sets that Jamie put out this month called "What's Up?"!  This set features the most adorable hipster giraffe (complete with glasses and a scarf dontchaknow:)  So for my hipster giraffe, I wanted to do something a little arty (artsy?) and ended up with a cross between Andy Warhol and Instagram.  

I stamped and cut each giraffe face and then colored them in different hues with copics.  I then blended each square with different inks and finished with white to make them look fuzzy.  I was trying to go for an Instagram filter look, but not sure how successful I was at it:)  I still think it looks super cute and I think I'll try it again some time!  The sentiment BTW is from Count on It and it seemed to be appropriate!  Before I go, I have one more quickie card to share!  

This one is just a bit of stamping and a teeny bit of copic coloring.  This time I used the glasses from the Hipster-Potamus set to give him some shades:)  And appropriately, the sentiment  is from the Bright Days set (along with the sunburst).

    Oh my, the smirk on the giraffe just cracks. me. up. Love the treatment you gave him on the first card. Totally fits with the image. How very creative! He looks quite appropriate next to the sun on your next card too. So fun!

    I TOTALLY see the Instagram filter! That is too fun :) I can practically see his little giraffey hooves at the edges making it a selfie ;) lol!
    And making the glasses into sunglasses? Such a fun perfect look for that card!
