And I'm back!!! My old computer Big Mac is at the Apple Store getting his new brain (for free no less!) and now I'm working on the newest addition to our family, Baby Mac. I learned a couple things from this experience...do not take your computer for granted (thank goodness for daily back ups!) and when your husband says "Hey, I got a friend that can fix that for you!", politely decline;)
Stamped on the inside:) |
For this next card I used the adorable fortune cookie stamps from Good Fortune:) Instead of the regular fortune, I paired it with the "Be Mine" sentiment from Lots of Love and sprinkled it with lots of punched hearts. The card base is a new offering at Avery Elle, birch card stock! You will fall in love with this stuff! The woodgrain is unlike anything you can achieve with an embossing folder or impression plate.
Both the cookies and the fortune were fussy cut and glued on with foam tape. I blended Antique Linen on the cookies to give them a more baked look. Even though they're from 2 different sets, the sentiment fits just right into the fortune stamp. Just a tip, if you lay the two stamps together on your block, you can make sure the curves match (little hard to see in the pic, but you get the point:)
Thank you so much for stopping by (some of you for the second time!). I hope that you got a chance to visit the other gals including the awesome Veronica Zalis and Nina Yang!
As promised, I'm doing my own little giveaway for all the folks who posted on my last post and this post! I will randomly choose a winner, just be sure to leave a comment by Sunday evening 11:59 pm.
To celebrate the February Release Blog Hop, Avery Elle is giving away and $25 Gift Certificate to one winner on the Avery Elle blog and another $25 Gift Certificate to a winner on Facebook (just share them with your friends and make sure they say you sent them).
You have until Sunday, February 3rd to enter. The winner will be announced on the Avery Elle blog on Monday, February 4th. All products will be available for purchase tonight, January 31st, at midnight EST.
