Moxie Fab World Repetition Challenge: Neon on the Farm

After my mini blog hiatus this summer, I am bound and determined to get myself back into the cardmaking groove.  As a challenge to myself, I've decided that I would *try* to work my way through all 5 of the Moxie Fab Card Design Handbook challenges!   Each Moxie Fab challenge highlights a specific design principle from the issue.  I've already put my card in for asymmetry here, and today I'm playing along with the Moxie Fab World's Repetition Challenge!   {If you haven't already gotten this issue, I highly recommend it.  Lots of information and lovely examples:)}

As you can see, I didn't go with literal repetition, but more a repetition of a theme.  To break up the neon, I did some color blocking on each animal.  The pig and cow are color blocked with gold and the duck and horse with black.  The strip under the animals is in the gold card stock as well.  I had a heck of a time trying to photograph this card, but in person the colors are SO RAD.  Love the neon/gold/black combo!

The card is finished off with a sentiment from the Hero Arts Heyday Sentiments set!  I bought this set just to get this sentiment.  I've lived in Virginia so long that I've taken on a bit of the Southern talk including using the occasional "y'all":)  Hubby is definitely a southerner but I joke with him that technically, I'm from a more southern state;)

The Moxie Fab Card Design Handbook challenges end on the 24th, so there's still lots of time if you want to join in the fun!  As always, I'm so happy that you stopped in for a bit!  Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

  18. OK, this card just makes me smile :) The funky animals are great, but that sentiment? In my head all I can hear is "hey y'all, watch this!" I think I've been watching too much YouTube?
