Watercolor Rainbow with Avery Elle

Good morning folks!  What kind of week are you having?  Could you use a rainbow?  I hope so, because I've got one that I created using the new Avery Elle die set, Custom Panels.  Ever since I got my set, it seems like I've used at least one die from this set on every card.  Today, I used the rounded arc die to create this card...

My first step was to die cut an A2 rectangle with the largest die from watercolor paper.  Then using the arc die, I cut 6 rainbow pieces.  I purposely varied the width of each band of the rainbow for a more relaxed look:)  Then I watercolored each piece separately.

After all the pieces were dry, I fit them all together and applied pieces of foam tape to the back before I put it on my card base.  The sentiment is from the new set Brushed and the font is absolutely perfect for this card!  Here's a look at the whole Custom Panels set...

And here's a comparison of the arc die with a full circle die that I have.  The smaller size of the arc die means you don't have to break out the oversized die cutters:)   I hope you can see how versatile these dies can be!

Until next time!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mahalo and Aloha,
jj
