Avery Elle: November Release Group Post Day

Happy Monday!  Today is the last day of November release week and all the new sets are available in the store!  On the last day of the release, each of the DT members showcase a different set.  My set happens to be Lovely Letters!  This alpha set has one of the prettiest fonts ever:)

For my first project, I did a simple garland card using the long beaded chain and star stamps from the Merry & Bright set you saw earlier this week.  I embossed a few of the stars in gold and added little gems to the centers.  The banner flag is from last month's set To the Point!  The flag is also embossed in gold and filled with the custom sentiment:)

This next card just shows how much the right sentiment can make all the difference.  When I use my Silhouette, I often have a hard time finding the right sentiment to go with the cut images.  I'm so happy that I was able to get the exact phrase I wanted this time with Lovely Letters!  And really, how beautiful is that font?  {The starburst behind baby Jesus is from Bright Days and the nativity scene is a Silhouette file}

My last project for the week is this set of candy cane favors!  Don't you love that candy canes come in fun colors now?  I used the circle medallion stamp from last month's Fanfare set to make some cute and EASY custom labels for my nieces and nephew.  The circle design kind of reminded me of peppermint candies.

Lining up alpha sets can be intimidating, but it was actually easier than I expected.  Just make sure you pencil in a line to keep you straight:)  As you can see, I spaced the letters closer together to get that seamless look.  I can't get over how pretty that font is!

That's it for me!  I really hope that you enjoyed this week's projects!  I can't wait to see what Jamie, Chunyuan, Kasia, and Heather have today!

  1. These look like they fit together well too - sometimes fonts don't work well for that, so kudos to AE for making it work :) All of these look like seamlessly combined sentiments - and that font really is beautiful! I love the glow on the nativity card, and the CLEVERNESS of the Be Merry card, and the candy canes? Too awesome! Kids LOVE having their names on stuff :)
