Creative Mistletoe!

Just popping in today with a holiday card made with non-holiday stamps!  I love new stamps as much as the next person, but it's always nice to use what you have!  For the mistletoe, I used flower stamps from Avery Elle's Blossoms & Blooms.  The rounded petals work great as mistletoe leaves.  The little bow from the Fanfare set is the perfect Christmas-sy touch.  The "berries" are just glitter foam punched with a standard hole punch.

Before I sign out, I just want to send out "be safe" vibes to all those in the path of hurricane Sandy!  Here in northern Virginia, the schools are closed and even my office is closed for the day!  We're taking advantage of this free day and hoping for the best!  Take care of yourselves folks!

Mahalo and Aloha,

  4. JJ this is such a lovely Holiday card! I love how you used non holiday stamps for it, and how you didn't use red for the holly!

  8. Cute card. I love those hole punched glitter foam berries. You know an idea just ran through my mind. I have these round foam tapes. I'll have to play with them and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the inspiration. And please stay safe. Hugs.

  11. I much prefer the idea of closing (and it turning out to be unnecessary) compared with canceling things partway through a nasty storm! I hope you're still doing OK!
(And that card? Again, genius. That IS the perfect mistletoe!)
