Papertrey Ink Anniversary Countdown

This is my first year joining in with the Papertrey Ink anniversary festivities.  I only "found"  PTI last February and it quickly became one of my favorite places:)  This month marks their 5th anniversary and today kicks off some of the anniversary challenges, giveaways, and more.  Today's challenge inspiration is the PTI design team.  With so much inspiration to choose from, I chose Maile Belles first!   Love her clean, perfectly designed, seemingly effortless (but surely not) style!

I incorporated a few elements ala Maile (like the soft stone cardstock, black/twine buttons, peekaboo cut out technique).  I also tried a technique similar to what Maile did with Copics.  I didn't have a Copic that matched the flower bloom, so I used a blender pen (you use ink from an ink pad to "draw" with it) to create a little more dimension on the flower petals.  Hard to see in the pics, but it does give it some dimension IRL.
