It's still anniversary month at Waffle Flower, and though we didn't have a regular release, we have something really fun to share! Waffle Flower now offers pattern paper! These papers are designed by cardmakers, so expect to see some new and innovative stuff!
The new Waffle Flower paper pads measure a generous 5.5 inches by 8.5 inches (half-page of US Letter size). Waffle Flower chose this size to give cardmakers more paper and less waste! You can fold each page in half to make a standard landscape A2 card or trim a page in half to make two A2-sized card fronts. This larger size can also be used for A7-sized cards (5"x7"). The paper is a smooth, 80lb cover weight which is the perfect weight for layering, folding, stamping, and more. Waffle Flower is releasing several lines including Everyday Basics (classic designs in different colorways), Modern Neutrals (graytone papers that are meant to be covered in custom color), and Designer Papers that are meant to pair with existing stamps and dies! So now that you learned a bit more about the paper, let's take a look at some!
I was lucky enough to work on a paper pad this month. It's called JJ's Rainbows and that about says it all, doesn't it? 😁This paper pad has 12 different rainbow-themed designs. They have been specially designed to work with my panel dies: Big Dots, Fresh Rainbow, and Hearts Panel, but they work with lots more too! I'm super excited with how the papers turned out and I hope you like them too!
Let's start out with a super easy card first. I used half of a page with a diagonal stripe rainbow pattern and layered the Big Dots panel over it. The sentiment is just a word die inlaid into the center of the panel die cut. Seriously, so easy!
This first card uses the Half Half Dots paper in the Botanical colorway. There are a ton of different dot color combos in these pads and it makes it so easy to coordinate like this. And let's talk about the scale of the design? I have so many scrapbook papers that are too big for cards. I love them, but the scale is just too big. The scale of this dotty paper is just right!
Here's another card with some Half Half Dots paper but this time with the Unicorn colorway. I used the papers to paper piece their little outfits and it was so much fun. Seriously forgot how satisfying fussy cutting can be? (Am I the only one?). I added some translucent Nuvo dots and an oversized Thank You to finish it off. This would be great for a teacher, don't you think? Love those little Kamo kids!
For my last card, I used the Half Half Lines in the Enchanted colorway. Each pad has a combination of colors that is great for rainbows. So of course, I had to use it in the Fresh Rainbow panel. I love the detail of the stripes in each bow.
Those are my cards for today, but there's lots more to see in the hop! YHere's the full list so you don't miss one stop!
