Misti-fied

I'm a sucker for all paper crafting tools but especially ones that make things easier and more precise!  (yes, it's the scientist in me:)  So a few months ago when I heard about this new stamp positioner called a MISTI, I was definitely intrigued!  Unfortunately, it was also sold out.  Bummer, right?  Well luckily for me, I have friends who love paper crafting supplies as much as I do!  My sweet, sweet friend Wida managed to snag a MISTI for me and sent it to me as a surprise.  I love that gal!  And what do you know it, I love my MISTI!

After using my MISTI for a couple months, I've worked out a few kinks and put them in a video.

Hope you pick ed up a couple new tricks!  By the way, I have no affiliation with the the company that produces the MISTI (My Sweet Petunia) and I have not been compensated for this post.  Just spreading the love!

Mahalo and Aloha,
jj

  1. Wish I had some friends like yours LOL. As things stand, the Misti is still on my wish list. Do you prefer using tape to using the magnets that can be bought as accessories?

    1. I've never used the magnets, so I can't give a thumbs up or down. I'm a big fan of the tape just because it's so gentle. No sticky residue or dents from the magnets. Let us know if you try them!

  7. WICKED AWESOME!!!! It's a GREAT tool and tanks for the tips. You should get some of those magnets from the MISTI lady. They hold the card down without need for tape. Oh...I guess that was a tip from me!!! HA!!

  12. I love Wida too! Love your quick video filled with lots of tips on using this new product. Definitely not a no-brainer, I've never considered wiping my stamp inbetween impressions with the same ink. But now that you say that, I have had ink from another layer on the card come up slightly and contaminate the next image. That's when I toss the card and start over, hahaha! Now I'll just be smarter about it : )

  13. Thanks for sharing your tips! I recently got the MISTI and really appreciate the tips as I've been so worried about breaking it or messing up! Loooove the brayer idea and making sure there's something on the backside of the lid when inking things up. I get nervous when I hear the acrylic squeaking!
