I've recently been lucky enough to get some of the brand new inks on the market. I'm of the mind set that you can never have too many inks! So when I got the newest batch of inks this week, I decided it was time to redo my ink charts. These charts were only meant for my own personal use, so excuse the messiness:) To make it easier to tell the brands apart, I used a different stamp for each brand. Here is the key along (which brand = which stamp) along with notes on what type of ink it is, the type of ink pad, how big the ink pad is, etc.
And greens (some of the inks are greenish blues that could go either way)...
Now yellows, oranges, corals...
And rounding out with pinks and reds...
So have I convinced you that you need more ink?
Here are links to where you can buy each type of ink online:
Avery Elle
Mama Elephant
Studio Calico
Fresh (Impress)
Hero Arts (search for "Hero Arts Shadow Ink Pad"
Memento (Dye) and Memento Luxe (Pigment) (search for "Memento Ink Pad")
I haven't included a link for A Muse since those are sold through reps. I also don't have a link for the PTI inks. I've heard of quality issues, so I didn't want to point you down that road:)
For more info on inks, please check out my pal Nina's page here. She has more charts and even some free blank chart printables! Until next time:)

Fabulous comparison!!
ReplyDeleteTFS, JJ. You did all the leg work for me. Now I know which colors I am missing. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to create an overview of all the different brands. Should be a breeze for me, considering the small amount of inks I have hoarded so far LOL. I have to confess, though, that I pre-ordered the new Studio Calico inks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever system you are very clever thanks for sharing have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWow - thanks for the pointers, looking at expanding my inks
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing this! I only have two inks and are about to order some more but never sure what the colours will look like. This has helped me alot!!!
ReplyDeleteYour photo and chart look amazing, JJ!! Can you come to my house and "play"?
ReplyDeleteI love how you set up your charts, JJ! Thanks for sharing them with us...and for enabling, too :-)
ReplyDeleteWow thank you so much for the ink comparison...its always nice to see what they look like on paper before buying.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!! I am in the market to buy a lot of inks ... most of mine are old and from random companies. Do you have a manufacturer that you particularly enjoy (since you have experience with so many here!)? Since reading one of Kara's posts, I've also got my eye on the new Heidi Swapp inks that Michael's is now carrying
ReplyDeleteLove your charts! BTW...Papertrey Ink has had a couple issues in the past, but their inks really are amazing! They've tried quite hard to work everything out. And their inks are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! So nice to see all the colors together. I'm sure I need some more ink now. ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome post = you are so stinkin organized girl. Great to know what you have and where to find it. That's priceless!
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this. I want to get all the colors in the pigments that match up with my PTI colors as closely as possible. This will help me figure out between the four companies that use the same pigment ink manufacturer which ones match. Nobody else has put it together like this. So helpful.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for doing these charts!!!!
