Mama Elephant Stampede: Celebrating one big year!!!

Hello, hello, hello!  It's Mama Elephant Stampede time!  And it's not just any old stampede;)  This is the first year anniversary stampede!!!  What does that mean?  Two days of stampeding with a really awesome bunch with lots and lots of new product.  (When you see who's participating, you will flip!)  All of the new goodies are already available on the store  so you can stampede and shop at the same time;)   For this month's stampede, I'm working with the new set Merry Greetings which features all kinds of lovely holiday sayings with a bit of Kryssi's handwritten words mixed in!  

So my project turned out to be the card of Christmas past, lol!  Past Christmas stamp sets, that is;)  I took some stamps from the older sets, Believe in Magic and Polar Pals, and put them together with Merry Greetings to create a cheery and snowy holiday card!  I started by die cutting a panel using the new Stitched Rectangle die (one of two dies included in the Femme Frames set).  I inked up the background to create a clear winter sky and used a white pen for the snow detail. 

  

The sentiment is great alone, but I immediately thought about how great it would look with the bold Christmas sentiment from Believe in Magic.  Doesn't the red sentiment look great in the new ink?  The ink is Cherry for those taking notes;)  Speaking of new ink, the striped background was done in Mojito with stripes from Basic Borders.  I love how that little stripe detail balances the green from the snowman's hat.  It's the little things:)  Don't you love it when multiple sets play well together?
