Hi guys! It's the last day of the Mama Elephant August release highlights and you know there can't be a release without an awesome sentiment set! Many Thanks fits the bill! (Which is available on the site NOW by the way) In true Mama Elephant fashion, this set includes a ton of fun and cute thank you sentiments:)
For my card, I thought I'd make another "washaker" (a washi shaker just like these inspired by the awesome Donna Mikasa). But of course, it had to be heart shaped to go with the sentiment! I die cut 2 hearts from clear plastic and then taped one side of the heart together with the washi tape. Then I filled the heart with various colors of sequins and the sentiment (easy with the sequins, you don't need many). Then I sealed the other half. Around the heart, I added more sequins, enamel dots, and even some stamped hearts (from Sunny Skies). I love the pinkness!
Thanks
for stopping by all week long! You guys are the best! Please be sure to visit the rest of the DT to see what fun
they had with this cute set!

ReplyDeleteYou just had to make me want to try making a shaker, didn't you? JJ...the things you get me into! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo much awesome pink! Love those enamel dots & your perfectly done washi :)
ReplyDeleteThis is spectacular! The shades of pink you chose are just delicious. I love the fact that you incorporated so many complex design elements and managed to create an overall impression of simplicity. But how do you attach something transparent to a background in a way that doesn't show? I can't figure it out.
ReplyDeleteKollabora, the online handcrafting community I'm part of, recently added a section for papercraft, and I've been hoping some stationery artists would join and post some inspiring projects. I'd love to see you and your work over there! Come check us out sometime.
